Any internet deals available in Western Canada lately?

My 2-year term is expiring soon and I know Shaw and Telus stopped publicly competing on pricing when the pandemic hit, so I'm wondering anyone here's gotten a good deal when negotiating a renewal or jumping to a different provider.

The lowest offers are through retentions. Telus is pretty good.
Not sure about Shaw; I think they stopped doing retentions?

Shaw is getting sold to Rogers, so maybe they stopped caring.

I got my telus bill reduced a lot when I renewed my contract last year (was out of contract for a while).
Didn't really have to put much effort in asking for a deal either, just cited covid, etc. and the retentions agent give me a decent offer.

Teksavvy is cheaper than Telus-Shaw in the west. Just be prepared for a long outage if you have Telus DSL and switch to Teksavvy DSL, however.

There are even cheaper, bottom-of-the-barrel, providers, but they are very much a case of you getting much less than you pay for.
