any mobile phone plan promos (maybe back to school?)

currently paying $55 a month pre tax for a BYOD plan with telus and im looking to move to a phone plan w some kind of promos for unlim phone/text, some data and 0 dollar iphone

for reference, i have some friends with a $62.5 a month phone plan, 0 dollars for iphone 12 (2 yr contract) unlim text/call and 20gb

tldr; need phone plan with 0 dollar iphone down pref 11+, wondering if any deals now or when bts sale promos come out

How much data do you need. Watching Netflix using data will cost you a lot more than using your data for email and messaging.
I’m paying BYOD $24 for unlimited talk and text and 1.5GB from Freedom. If that much data is enough, you’ll save $40/month or $960 over two years over what you are paying now; enough to buy a new phone outright. You also won’t be locked into a contract, so you can jump to a better deal if one comes along.

Not much data to be honest, I think Ill be on school campus alot. Maybe 2gb?

I think I narrowed it down that I'm looking for a 0 dollar iphone + plan to be around $60. I know freedom mobile is offering an iphone 12 for 62.5 after tax with 15gb data but I wasn't able to get that deal.

I'm also looking for an internet package if anyone knows of any!

apparently its a loyalty promotion for freedom users (i know 2 people who were able to get it recently) but i guess i dont know any connections to freedom mobile reps to get it ;p
