Any place to find traditional tacos anymore?

All I ever find are Mexican places that make “boutique” tacos. Any places that use fresh ground beef in the GTA? Not looking for Taco Bell/ fat food.

There is/was a place called El Sombrero in the plaza at Derry and Mississauga Road that serves real deal Mexican. Used to go there for their burritos (pre-Covid when I wasn’t working from home).

Although I have not been in a couple of years, King's Taco is great!

You can make tortillas at home too. Just need Masa, a bit of fat and a tortilla press.

Ugh thats just more stuff to buy and learn.
Everyone got a knife and cutting board though.
I’ve already dedicated my culinary training towards winning a bbq competition in the brisket category lol.

If you're in a large enough city, you may have a local tortilla factory that makes them fresh.
Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

I think this is the best bet for a (good) Mexican restaurant in Toronto.

Tenoch down the street isn't bad. And there's a taco counter at the back of Latin grocery store that I've heard good things about. All on St Clair West.

How about this place?
It's brand new (where Vinny's Panini on Dupont used to be @ 787 Dupont street)
Casamiento . "Pupusas + Tacos + Quesadillas + Cerveza".

I've heard from friends that El Jefe in Port Credit is supposed to be good but I haven't personally tried it.

I've tried it, it's just okay. They make the guacamole at your table, but it has no flavour. It's good as a place to hang out or meet up with friends. The have a nice outdoor patio.
