Any portable heaters recommendations ?

I live in a basement and sometimes it really gets cold in winters. Any recommendations for a cheaper portable heater which has little or no sound , power cord doesn't get heated and auto switch on/off according to the room temperature ?

Thanks in advance

get an oil filled one like this one

super quiet as there's no fan cycling on and off. no real hot element to cause potiential fire if knocked over (i know i know safety switches but they fail) turn it and and dont' turn off as it takes awhile for it to warm a room up

I have both ceramic and electric oil-filled ones. If you want no sound, oil filled one would be a better choice.

I have a small shop in my garage and use an oil filled heater to keep it above freezing. Probably the safest way to go.
