Is anybody else constantly being asked to reset Simplii password for online banking?

This has been happening for over a month now... Almost every time I try to sign in (computer or phone), I'm presented with a security message:

"To ensure the security of your account, you must reset your password. Please select the "Forgot password" option and follow the instructions to access your account. If you continue to experience technical difficulties, please contact Simplii Financial Customer Support at 1-888-723-8881 or (506) 449-6095 for overseas collect calls."

I've probably reset my password half a dozen times in the last 30 days. I've been with Simplii since it was PCF years ago, and this has never happened before. Super annoying!

Also I'm an IT person... It's not because my phone / computer has a virus / problem. I do reboot my router frequently which causes my IP address to change, but this has never been an issue in the past.

Yes! I have as well. I called in to complain and they basically blew me off. It's happening to me on almost every login and I've changed mine 6 times in the past month. It's concerning since I assume someone is trying to get into my accounts. Also, they don't allow special characters in their passwords, so the system is already weak. I'm actually thinking of dumping them all together if they don't strengthen their passwords soon. It's unacceptable these days.

Do you use the Mint app? This started happening to me with RBC as well as Simplii, and I called in to RBC. They told me it's a third party app trying to pull my accounts, which triggers the security alert and subsequent lockout.

I've been getting the same issue as well and have called in multiple times to complain about it. The last call, they suggested that they mail me a new card, but I'm worried that I might end up needing that one free replacement card somewhere down the road in a year....

Not sure how I can get this fixed, my password's obviously not incorrect, I attempted to log in with touch ID! Can't get a wrong password that way if it's my finger...

Just wanted to update on this. I realized it wasn't just Simplli, in the last week my RBC accounts were getting hit too, as I got a message several times saying "Someone tried to sign in with your username and password but was blocked because they couldn't answer the security questions". I figured at this point it must be something I'm doing. So for me it's mint.com causing the problem. RBC confirmed this over the phone. Simplii did not confirm, but after I disabled Mint now it's not prompting me for pw reset anymore. Occasionally when mint tries to sync, it's flagged as potential unauthorized access. In RBC's case it presents security questions, which mint can't answer, triggering a message in online banking saying "someone tried to access your account but couldn't get past the security questions". In Simplli's case, it seems to trigger an automatic password reset.

I started having this problem about 6 weeks ago. Very irritating. I don't use this mint.com so it's something else.

I think this is a scam by bank itself
They are preventing us to do transactions by doing this, if you are doing online transactions frequently they will disable your password frequently
I am getting this almost every day

Since I commented before here, I'll provide a update. Simplii Financial decided to just replace my debit card (they'll waive the second replacement within the year if I do actually need it, since it's usually one free replacement per year for any reason) for free a few months ago and the issue went around, just like that.

It could be that some sort of application is trying to access the account and spamming it with incorrect logins... but I don't use anything that links my account, so I'm not sure. With the new debit card number, the issue just vanished, but I guess I wasn't very happy that it took months to just agree that I deserve a free replacement of my debit card to fix my issue.

This has been happening to me almost daily with the Simplii app on my phone. It's very frustrating and an annoyance. It happened with an old bank card and then the new one.

I don't have this problem. On my mobile, I use FaceID to login. On the desktop, I did not autosave my login/password in the browser, I type in both each time.
Could be some scammers are trying to login into your accounts via a script/brute force.
