Anybody have advice on a 40-50 inch medium end tv?

Costco, hisense or TCL they're cheap.

A 58 inch hisense 4k is going for around $400 plus tax shipped, minus $20 if you're a member. Hisense is the same as buying a sharp in NA, as hisense makes and distributes sharp TVs in NA.

I know its smaller, but it probably would fit better for me than a 58. I'll only be about 3-4 feet away from the screen based on where its positioned and where my chair is

Sorry I should have read your title better, I'd still go with the hisense, they have a 50 inch for $329.99, save an extra $20 if you're a member. Comes with two year warranty I'd get the extra 3 years for $29.99 covering the set for 5 years total.

But if you like the LG more I'd say go for it, just shop around see if you can get it cheaper. If you find similar pricing I'd pay a bit more with Costco just for the piece of mind.
