My suggestion would be to start out by cutting out (or at least reducing) most processed foods and sugar. You'll notice a huge change with that. Stick with mostly natural foods and eventually reduce your carb intake. Avocado, nuts, salmon, lots of veggies, olives, eggs, hummus, natural peanut butter, good quality cheese are all good options.
