Anyone else having issues with smartdnsproxy?

My Global TV app on Apple hasn't been working.

I went on to Live Chat and the person just said "we are having issues and there is no ETA for resolution"

I tried to ask other questions and he wouldn't answer anything (crappy service - will be looking for an alternative)

Anyway, just wondering if other RFDers are having issues.

Why do you need smartdnsproxy for Global TV if you are located in Canada?

I don't. But I have its settings on for US apps - and I think this is what is impacting my Global TV access.

I'm pretty upset with the help desk person who basically told me everyone was having this issue, and to contact their second level to be on a wait list so they could tell me when it would be resolved.

Turns out there were no issues with the DNS proxy - it was an Apple ID issue. They really should look into their helpdesk staff.

Must be more than that as I've got the same issue (using either a browser) or Amazon Fire Stick (and no Apple TV in site!)

I've figured it out - the Geo location was set to US for certain services (which included Global and CBC) - working now. - so make sure you check that as well.

Thanks. On the SDN site you mean? You changed everything to Can?

Yeah, - not everything, just Channel Group A, which does impact on a lot of US services, so you may have to change or otherwise compromise between the two.
