Anyone have experience using RocketDoctor.ca?

Heard that they are 100% covered under OHIP (website also says this when selecting Ontario). Just wondering what the experience was like for those who have tried them and if they are truly legit?

They are legit and it was covered by OHIP but they charged me $15 for a prescription. The walk-in by my home has never charged for a prescription and they also do telephone appointments as well. If you don't need a prescription I would recommend as it was a very smooth experience.

Thanks. I was a bit spooked when they asked for my OHIP information so I thought I'd ask here for more assurance. I'll sign up with them right away.

... how did you expect them to bill your visit to OHIP?

Didn't think about that. I don't know what their processes are like and I didn't speculate. I've never submitted my OHIP information onto a website that wasn't Ontario Health before so I figured I'd ask first to be safe than sorry (ie. using my private information for unrelated reasons, scammer, etc).

Do they let you choose a doctor?

I spoke to their in house family physician to get a specialist referral. The specialist I will be seeing is probably the only one I can choose from because they are more like a niche specialist, but I didn't ask.

FYI, there will be some big changes to this type of virtual walk-in service in September in Ontario.
Government will implement some new rules, and they will be paid far less if the patients have not been seen in person previously.
My guess is that most of these virtual walk-in would either close down, scale back, or require you to go for an in person visit.
