Anyone here Order a Bronco?

My wife and I have been thinking of some SUV options and we have been really interested in the Ford Bronco.
Something different and unique, and we love the style.

Only issue for me personally is, I hate paying MSRP lol and it looks like there are no discounts available on the Bronco. Has anyone had any success with discounts? Also looks like if I make an order now, I wont be getting anything until next spring at the earliest...which is fine with me.

Do you guys think this truck will hold value above avg?

Let me know your thoughts, and if anyone was able to get any kind of deal. I am specifically looking to get the Wildtraks edition.

You wont get a 'deal' as this is proving to be a hit for Ford.

Will it hold its value? Probably, as long as there are no prolonged issues *cough* Ecoboost engine *cough* Overheating *cough*

Personally I would never be a guinea pig for a new gen model, let alone a new gen vehicle in year one. Let them get the bugs worked out first.

Jeep's (Wranglers) tend to hold their value very well and I suspect this will be no different.

Looking to relieve your favorite high speed chase down the highway?

Seriously, Ford's order list is getting long. They have been hit pretty hard by the chip shortage. I had to wait close to 5 months for my Mache-E.

Don’t expect any real discounts for at least a year or 2.

This is already a hit with Ford.

Like mentioned resale should be good unless it’s proved to be unreliable.

I think the only discount you might be able to get is if you own at least 100 Ford stocks for at least 6 months.
It's called X-Plan, it's the pricing for friends and family.
The X-Plan for shareholders is basically invoice less .4% plus administrative fee of $275.

I don't know how much below MSRP this will end up being.

You'll most likely be paying MSRP or MSRP + dealer markup. I would guess resale should be in the top 5 vehicles in Canada though, right up there with two of the Tesla models and the Wrangler. This vehicle is extremely desirable, but terrible on fuel economy. Lots of new YouTube videos just surfaced a few days ago.

Throttle House is ALWAYS my favourite :)

The Straight Pipes did a Bronco review and they’re Canadian as well (based out of Halton Region I think).

Any more info on this?

Would be a good way to buy if ever planning to buy a new Ford.

I find myself liking the Bronco and the Maverick. Plus I have family members who own and would purchase again the F150 and Escape/Bronco Sport.

Dealers aren't allowed to mark-up in Canada like they are in USA. So it's easy to get MSRP here.
Some dealers will however put on tons of accessories and try to sell you other protection to drive the price up. This is different than straight "market adjustment" you see on USA lots and you can simply ask for a car with nothing else on it.

OP, would you not want to test drive such an expensive vehicle first or at least sit in one before ordering? Or have you done that already?

I made some appointments this week to check it out. My wife definitely wants a good close look before putting an order.

I actually found one Sales guy who promised me a discount if I make a Factory order $500-1000. Let's see if he actually comes through when the time comes

It's definitely a mid-late 40s woman vehicle. I wouldn't be driving that thing around. But to each their own!

For $1000 investment, why not?

Here's food for thought. Given you are unlikely to get a delivery of a Bronco anytime soon, like you mentioned spring 2022. You may want to hold off ordering as you won't be far off the 2022 model where Ford should have at least work out some of the kinks that has been discovered over the next coming months as more people get the Bronco. If you don't mind that then you can definitely order now.

You can't actually place an order now, you are just putting in a reservation and the dealer contacts you when it's your time to place your order, so you are most likely going to get a 2022 MY car anyway.

They haven't even fulfilled their original reservations yet. No way he's getting it in Spring 2022 if he's only putting in his reservation now.

Just curious - what's attracting you towards the Wildtraks? Seems the most common trims are Outer Banks and Badlands, or just the base+Sasquatch. Looking at getting an OB myself(let's be honest here - we are city dwellers)...

Is there really any place in the GTA to make use of full-on Baja style offroading with the Wildtraks?

The extra premium could get you some nice aftermarket wheels. One of the best I've seen so far:
