anyone send their kid to overnight camp in algonquin/muskoka? Any recommendations? Reviews?

during the last week of school my daughter told us she wanted to go to overnight camp after hearing about all the fun some of her classmates had and were so excited about going again. im talking about camps like Tamakwa, Tanamakoon, Camp Muskoka, etc..

Little did i know that i seem to have missed the registration ages ago and most camps are full but there are a few that have some 1 week and 2 week programs that have some availability so i was wondering if anyone has a kid attending or has attended, etc..

Right now im looking at:
Camp Can-Aqua (1 wk)
Camp Arrowhon (2 wk)
Camp Manitou (2 wk)

Since they have availability and not a waiting list.

We just got back from family camping on the long weekend at sandbanks and we've done family camping in the past but the best day of our recent trip was when our friends came up for day to spend the day at the beach with us.

There is a great camp called Winning Techniques
https://www.winningtechniques.com/
Our daughter went there for several years in a row, as a camper and later as a councillor. Lots of sports activities and lots of fun. No idea how this camp looks today, but at that time we were impressed.

I don't know any of those camps but am a big fan of the camp experience in general. Especially for this generation who have missed a lot of socialization over the past 18 months.

One thing to keep in mind while they both have the word camp in them camping with family and summer camp are in fact opposites in many ways in terms of lifestyle. Camp is very regimented with many (fun) activities chores etc. Lights out. Mostly peers.
