Anyway to unlock Videotron Samsung S3 for Cheap?

I have a Galaxy S3 that I want to unlock. It is already on 4.4.2 so none of the free methods will work.

Any way to unlock it for cheap? Videotron wants $50, prices online are $25-$30. This is going to be a backup phone so I'd rather not spend $25-$30 to unlock it.

If you finish your contract and your phone fully belong to you now then why don't try your luck by asking Videotron to unlock it free.

If they don't unlock it for free then you could get the CSR / supervisor name and the call support ID and try to complain them to CCTS.

I would suggest people to flood the CCTS & carriers with these requests for free unlock code after fulfill the contracts... This way carriers will have to rethink and allow unlock for free after contract to avoid seeing a lot of CCTS complains which not good for them lol...

From the last year CCTS report, Bell is on top of the complain list, 3 to 4 times compare to other carriers and they seem don't care lol...

The phone wasn't mine and I didn't want to hassle my sister to call videotron and waste her time with this. I found some sketchy dude to do it for $15. Good enough lol.
