That being said, they are doing relatively well with case rates, because they are taking excellent precautions (and the population follows direction far better than most others).
24M doses, Tokyo alone has 14M people, probably 10/14 qualify for a shot. That's right. I stayed in APA in Tokyo and it was a beautiful, spotless room. Yes it's extremely tiny, but ALL apparments/hotels in Tokyo are tiny.
Agreed. APA would be equivalent to a Hilton or Marriott limited-service brand like Hilton Garden Inn or a Sheraton Four Points. Spotlessly clean, well-located and decent amenities. My hotel chain of choice in Japan. This an amazing deal if you can swing it. I’m going to do my best to make it work.

Hope they implement a vaccination passport system and allow us to travel again. I'd like to go back for 3 weeks next time.
