Would they offer this when they reopen. Canada has a bad covid rep right now.

Against my better judgement, I am seriously tempted to gamble $1k on this for next year.

That’s a bargain

Renting an apartment usually cost an arm n 2legs.

Cheers!

Thread started in 2016 - 1927 fully gutted and renovated 2 storey detached home in the big T.O. - small projects still in progress.

RFD priceless!

Who will that be? Even if it's a go, nobody but athletes and support staff is allowed to enter the country.

Japanese is hugely anti-vax.
Their covid vaccination stats are scary (under 5% of the population have received a single dose, on the last report I reviewed)...

That being said, they are doing relatively well with case rates, because they are taking excellent precautions (and the population follows direction far better than most others).

Japan has only been able to administer 15% of its stockpile of 28 million doses of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines, while 24 million doses continue to sit in freezers, Reuters reported.
24M doses, Tokyo alone has 14M people, probably 10/14 qualify for a shot. They can burn thru those 24M doses easy without worrying about country side if storage temp is an issue.

I have stayed in APA a bunch of times prepandemic. The quality is really good for a budget hotel.

It is an amazing price.

First 500 customers I believe.
Need Japanese person to confirm.

Also, it looks to me like this is supposed to be a deal for the locals.

Same. It’s like high quality small rooms. Quality over square feet

That's right. I stayed in APA in Tokyo and it was a beautiful, spotless room. Yes it's extremely tiny, but ALL apparments/hotels in Tokyo are tiny.

Anyway. Back to the deal. If I had my 2 shots and Japan let me in, I would definitely take this deal. My last 2 weeks there were too short IMHO. 30 days would have cover a lot more grounds.

Agreed. APA would be equivalent to a Hilton or Marriott limited-service brand like Hilton Garden Inn or a Sheraton Four Points. Spotlessly clean, well-located and decent amenities. My hotel chain of choice in Japan. This an amazing deal if you can swing it. I’m going to do my best to make it work.

How? Are you already in Japan? I doubt Japan will open up by July, which is when this deal expires if I understood the promo right.

I'd 110% jump on this if I could enter Japan.

Hope they implement a vaccination passport system and allow us to travel again. I'd like to go back for 3 weeks next time.
