[Apple] Apple iMac 24” M1 2021 Refurbished now available, up to $470 OFF

eg.jpg
  • Base 2 port $1599 -> $1359 = $240 OFF
  • Base 4 port $1849 -> $1569 = $280 OFF
  • Mid 4 port 256/16GB RAM or 512GB/8GB SSD = $2099 -> $1779 = $320 OFF
  • Top 4 port 2TB/16GB RAM = $3099 -> $2629 $470 OFF

These prices are now hardly any different from Educational Pricing + Free AirPods worth $219 pricing.
If you don’t want to go through the process of waiting for refund or returning AirPods or reselling or just feel it’s unethical whatever.
This route is legit and Apple refurbished are indistinguishable from new in my personal experience.
Same 1 year warranty and 15 days return.

Base model is real good VFM, 4.5k ratina display with 1080p webcam and best speakers in any ‘all in one’ PC (There is no $400 monitor, $100 webcam or $100 speaker which can compete with these 3 components). Lot has been said about M1’s performance already. Insane package for $1359.

That 8GB ram is brutal in a 1500$ desktop... Probably worth going to the mid tier for:

Ethernet
USB 3 ports
Touch ID Keyboard
Extra Fan inside for cooling
Better binned CPU/GPU

24 inch is an awkward size. I think lots of people like me find it on crumped side.

I d rather they equip a 1600p 27 inch screen.

Actually the deal is lukewarm at best.

Base model is listed at 1540 at apple edu store and you get a free air pod .

1360 refurb or 1540 brand new plus air pod.

I know many value refurb and brand new Mac equally, but the difference is rather subtle.

I don’t mind 24” size, only if it had Vesa mount. I sometimes find I have to turn my neck in front of a 27”. Once you go spring arm mounted monitor its so hard to go back.

One has to see 4.5k resolution at 24” in Apple store, PPI is so high it’s hard to see an individual pixel and that 500 nits of brightness with P3 color gamut 🤤

Cheaper with edu discount after AirPods refund.

Most importantly, refurb machines don't get extended warranty through most credit cards.

Yes, that's what OP said in his post. :-)

YMMV. Both my Visa and my Amex extend warranty of manufacturer refurb.

24” is sooooo small after getting used to 27”. And why can’t they just have plain collars like space gray. I wouldn’t want a blue or pink one for $500 in my office.

The 24” is rather small, and unfortunately like almost every display now, in 16:9 format (vs 16:10).
But the resolution is outstanding and you won’t find another similarly high PPI (I’ve looked).

I’ve gone the Mac mini route because of the screen size. Too bad the larger rumoured 30” iMac won’t be ready until sometime next year.

I am pretty sure the Ethernet port is in the power brick!

Which Amex and Visa do you have?

Even the $699 platinum Amex doesn’t cover any kind of refurbished product.

They have a cheaper version brick without ethernet for the base model, which is inexcusable on a desktop computer :(

My least favourite thing about this Mac is the bezel/chin and light coloured front. It looks kinda ugly and it’s also quite distracting to someone like me with issues with concentration. It’s a shame because other than that it’s a great value for a Mac.
