Apple XR 64GB starting at $649 after trade in

iPhone XR pricing is after trading in an iPhone 7 Plus. Additional trade-in values are available for a limited time only and require purchase of a new iPhone, subject to availability and limits. Trade-in values vary based on the condition, year and configuration of your trade-in device. This offer is for in-store trade-in only, and is not available online. You must be at least 18 years old. In-store trade-in requires presentation of a valid photo ID. Additional terms from Apple or Apple’s trade-in partner may apply.

Good luck on actually getting it - in store they seem to know next to nothing about it, they tell you the chart is a guideline only. The actual trade in values seem to follow the ones you can get quoted online: so 315 for a 7 plus, 350 for an 8, etc. Massive headache and frustration.

actually got that value for an XS (trading in a 6S) - they gave me $230 gift card on that: $1379 (MSRP) - $230 (6S TIV) = $1149 from the chart)

apparently they bumped up TIV for soem models. 6S (128gb if that matters) was giving 125; but they're playing 230 now. Which still a bit short frm what Apple US is paying (200 US); but not too bad I guess.

The bumped up trade values reflect what you could sell the phone yourself for on kijiji/rfd, etc. So essentially you're saving headache of not having to deal with some of those people on kijiji. In terms of overall price, it makes no difference since you can sell the phone yourself for those bumped up trade values.

In store. Online it says my iPhone was worth 90 but in the store they gave me 150 for it.

Do they just give you an Apple gift card for the phone and then up to you when you want to purchase new phone? Or how does it work ?

Gonna check it out tomorrow. Not sure on the size of the phone though, kinda big compared to the iPhone 6 that I am using now.

Would 7 plus 256 gig or 128 will increase your trade in value as opposed to 32 gig storage ?
Sharing is Caring - Without people sharing info, these forums would not exist and no one would benefit from it. Don't be selfish.

They really need to show who downvotes so we can find out the mofus is

I don’t think so. When you put in the hd space for the trade in estimate on their site, the trade in value doesn’t change whether it’s 32 or 256.

I didn’t trade in the phone during this promo but I traded in a phone last month and they only took the phone. I kept all the accessories. They didn’t even need the box but I brought it along so I told them to keep it as I have no need for it.
