Thanks ✌️

i called Yorkdale and they said you only need to bring in the phone.

the deal is also only for the Xr or Xs (I was hoping for the 8 Plus)

Thanks! What about the XS Max? Any idea when the offer ends?

Offer is only for the Xs and Xr.

Not sure when it will end. Maybe Jan 2? Dunno total guess.

Normally yes, but for this promo I don't think so.

Yeah I thought so. But, when I traded in, Apple Store guy said I use for others. Not sure if he was 100% sure of that, but couldn't convince my wife to take the 8+ rather than XS lol.
BUT, He did the trade in first, gave us a gift card with the amount, and then complete the sell for XS. I wonder if I changed my mind mid way he probably wouldn't be able to reverse the whole thing?

As for the date, they didn't know either, he said that the company that buys them that decide the price. They increase/decrease based on demand. He mentioned that Apple itself doesn't do much on these, but who knows...

I realize the iPhone 6 is pretty long in the tooth, but can't you sell it for more than $150?
Or is it worth keeping as a burner or backup phone?
I'm debating if I can stretch another year out of my iPhone 6...then perhaps get into an iPhone xs next year cheaper.

I traded an iPhone 6 for $150 off at the Apple store. Unfortunately you can only trade 1 phone for 1 phone. I tried to trade two iPhone 6 phones but they wouldn't take it. They said they will take an iphone+ipad in exchange for an XR but not two iphones.

I was at the apple store to get iPhone Xs 64gb under this promo, unfortunately I did not understand the vague promo details, so they are offering $380 for my iPhone 7plus 128gb, but I have to buy the iPhone Xs on full price i.e 1379+tax and apply the trade in credit on that price. I did not trade it in will keep my iPhone 7 plus, but disappointed with their questionable advertisement..

pros and cons. You probably can sell for more than 150, but there's all the work to sell - trading in, you're paying for not having that work at all, you walk in, give your phone, leave with a new one. As for keep it, hard to say, depends on you I guess...

If your iPhone 6 serves you well, I'd wait. Also if you're waiting or planing to sell, check for a new battery, they're replacing for new ones for $35 (some known buggy are getting those for free.)

That is right the iPhone XR is $1030 and the XS is $1380 take away $380 and you get the advertised values... $650 and $1000. It doesn’t matter how much storage you have all iPhones hold the same trade in value. The promo is best for those with an iPhone 6s they get the biggest boost in trade in.

Complete bogus horse manure from apple lol they’re giving you gift cards, not like it’s a true “trade in” like when you trade in a car at a dealership or when you trade in video games for another game. I don’t see why they can’t allow multiple phones to be traded in.

The bonus for the 8 (if any) won’t be worth it because the phone is still relatively new (1 year) that you’ll be able to sell it a lot easier and hassle free than a 6 plus which is old and more prone to issues.

Are you able to purchased a higher capacity (XR 128GB or XS 256GB) iPhone instead of the base versions?

Also, is the XS worth the extra cost over the XR?

Which locations are you guys getting the bumped up values?

I went to Yorkdale yesterday and the rep told me to check the values online. I said the values online don’t show the bonus and he said whatever it is online is what the value is...which didn’t seem right

Interesting. The specialist I spoke with over the phone says the Xs and Xr model lines are eligible for the credit. I explicitly asked if it applies to the Max and he said it is applicable.

I tried Eaton today and they flat out told me I would only get $125 as a gift card for my 6S using that online assessment tool in front of me vs the $230 promotion. Which location was this?
