i'm actually not familiar with this device, is it more just a glorified mp3 player with the apple logo or am i missing something? thanks

ordered it (RFD effect). then thought some more. and cancelled the order. cpu and ram just do not cut it. i have 3rd gen. price is tempting though. will wait for 5th gen refurb. thanks.

Was just coming to post this after I ordered 2. They have been out of stock for about 1 month now when I picked up another 1 and they realized I was just thinking about myself

Good price just a shame the display panel isn't the same as the one used in iphone 4/4s. I'm gonna wait for the refurb 5th generation ones since they use the identical panels as the iphone 5.

Whats the difference?
According to Apple they are both: 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
Both are retina display. The only difference is that the ipod screen isn't coated with a lim to prevent finger smudges.

Same resolution yes however the ipod touch one isn't IPS while the iphone 4/4s one is. So with the 4th gen touch you'll get poorer viewing angles, screen will look more washed out when you compare it side by side with an iphone. I know this is pretty nit picky so if none of this bothers you then this is a great deal.

If you have tons of music to store, don't get the 8GB.

With some apps, the 8GB iPod Touch is not for you if you want to carry lots of music around.

Too small yo. Going from Note II to this is gonna be awkward; need the iPod for quick browsing and taking places where I wouldn't risk taking my Note —the bathroom (to read sh*t :P).

EDIT: Still an ok-ish deal i guess.
