I bought an iPhone 11 (872.56 tax included). I know in the fine lines (the *) it says you get charged $70 for the gift card, and that was the case for me, so I'm wondering how that equates to getting a $70 gift card as I have the $872.56 and $70 on my credit card balance. Wonder if it gets reversed when I receive the phone.

I think you are in a province with 12% tax rate? 872.56 isn't the cost of the iphone with taxes in. That would be:

$849.00
+$0.07 fee of some sort
*1.12
=$950.96

I think what they've done is taken 70 off the price before charging tax.
$849.07
-$70
*1.12
=$872.56

Now they add the $70 tax free for the gift card.
$872.56
+$70
=$942.56

So instead of paying $950.96 and getting a free GC, you are paying $942.56 and getting a free GC. You save the tax on $70 of the iphone cost essentially.

Isn’t it cheaper to go with a carrier for an iPhone 11?

Eg. Fido $30 x 24 = $720, zero down
Plans range but can be had for $40/mth.

Other than @quanvon , did anyone else receive the giftcard? I ordered an ipad mini yesterday and I am still waiting for the $70 GC. Will I receive it before the promotion ends?

I chatted with a CSR and he told me that I would receive the GC 24 hours after the item is shipped (Dec 7 for me) ...

No gift cards yet. Ordered two SEs yesterday afternoon and status still shows as being processed. Slightly over 24hrs now. I’m in no rush though.

Got the gift card this morning after purchasing an iphone yesterday. Am still thinking how to use it.

Interesting. Their site was down Friday morning but I had loaded the affiliate link the night before. It had only said 1x. I’ll be pushing them now for 2x.

I bought an iPad Friday morning. Nothing yet here either, though it seems like phones are quicker.

Bought Apple that and got 70$ gift card pretty much exactly 24 hours. Used that to buy another - but haven’t got it yet.

You forget the $300 Gift card as well, the only bad thing they are only 64gb.

Did you not find that it's cheaper to go with the education pricing? Or did you manage to get both?

Got iPhone 11 and got GC in less than 24 hours, but damn it, I placed order yesterday while there's 10x airmiles, and Apple processed and shipped everything already, and now there's 15x ;( it seems too much work to cancel and re-order with gc and trade kit all went through...

I have no experience with Air Miles, but I'm going to buy an iPhone 12 Mini which is over $1000. Should I do ebates at 0.05% or Airmiles at 15x? What's the better play?

It seems you only get the GC once it is shipped or pickup. I got GC after I pickup the ipad mini. My sister on another hand, haven't got her gc since her ipad pro haven't shipping yet and it is not available for pickup either.

Chatted with online support and they told me the gift card can be used for iTunes purchases, but if ordering online the amount of the gift card is deducted from the total cost of the purchase. This doesn't look to be true when I attempt to check out, are they just totally incorrect?

Was hoping to order an Apple TV today and then use the gift card for an Apple Watch, but now I'm worried the GC might not arrive in time before the sale ends?
