Way too much money but can we really say we're surprised? With headphones it's going to be tough to justify such a premium with the diminishing returns principle.

I like the design though. I love Apple products; their prices not so much.

I’m sure they will release a more affordable version next year with less features. Probably around $499.

Hahahaha, I could get 3 pairs of QC35 II for this price. Even more if RFD discounts are considered. Plus they are pretty repairable AFAIK. Apple is gonna be back to being a joke in 5 years

Everyone keeps saying it man but they keep going up and up. If you are for sure, you can make millions shorting their stock.

overpriced, but i don't think their target user is your regular average person.

i'm sure they sound fantastic, but i'm not an audiophile and my music sounds great with my AirPods or thru my Google Home.

Surprised at the price point.

For people who are into headphones (like * me *), I have no problem dropping good money on a set. But honestly I don't see anything here that makes me think these are worth it.

My issue with a lot of headphones is comfort. Bose nailed it. Are these going to be any different? These seem rather heavy too.
Sound quality. There is no shortage of great headphones I can buy for $100, $200, $400, $600. How are these going to justify their cost? Even compared to their Beats line, how are these going to justify their extra cost ($399 and under for Beats Studio). I just picked up a set of Drop Pandas which are absolutely great and they cost less.

It's going to be a hot seller.

The regular Airpods are a hit for a reason, they are super convenient and relatively affordable for how well they work (convenience, comfort, user experience). I'm a big fan of them. I have the regular ones (great for calls/podcasts) and the Pros (better for music and commuting).

I just can't see these taking off due to the price. Like the Homepod, most people don't care enough about "good sound" to pay such a big premium. And that's assuming they even sound that much better (I doubt it does anything that would surprise me). Spatial sound might be fun, but it's a gimmick to me.
