The Wire: The Complete Series $39.99 at Itunes (Lowest Ever)

Obviously one of the TOP rated TV. The Wire: The Complete Series (TV) (2002-2008) is on sale for $39.99

That's around 64% off from the normal price. Normally $109.99 with the occasional $69.99 sale.

I have already watched it once on crave+hbo. But might get it to own it & watch in iTunes quality.

I have it in my Google library and just finished season 1. It's excellent and can't wait to start season 2.

Anyone who hasn't seen this, do yourself a favour and go watch it. It's a true masterpiece in television and possibly the greatest series ever created

If you haven't watched it in a while they re-released it on blu-ray a number of years back in HD and it looks amazing. I'm rewatching the entire show again now, and I remember originally watching it in 3:2 ratio so seeing it now in its full HD glory on my TV looks great.

Would highly recommend.

Is itunes better than google play movies in terms of quality? I believe itunes adds tax on top of the $39.99. Meanwhile Google Play doesnt.

I find that Google Movies buffers more but the quality is comparable.

It's a bit of a slow burn. Give it a chance.

my advice is not to judge it on a per episode basis, as per normal TV shows.

watch the whole season and THEN decide if you like it.

The creator himself, David Simon, wrote a great article about the 16x9 remaster and what challenges it presented for a show composed in 4:3.

Great read if you loved the series. I haven’t watched the 16:9 remaster but I plan to.

Just finished watching the whole series on Crave. Prolly the best HBO drama. Liked it more than Oz. Glad they wrapped it up after 5 seasons like Breaking Bad did. It tells the story without being too long-winded and tiresome like friggin Walking Dead, which I gave up on when they could’ve killed Negan but Rick chose to save him. Anyways...
