I know it's newer, but I think the consensus is the refurb iPad Pro 10.5 for $499 is a better deal.

No. Stock has been sporadic. I bought one super late at night the other day, and they were out of stock again by the morning.

It might be better to check some comparison videos on Youtube. There's a lot of people comparing the iPad Air 3 to the iPad Pro 10.5.

Pro has better screen & speakers, but weaker processor A10x inside.

If I would be a apple fan, I'd grab air 3 or pro 11 (2018). Bu I'm waiting for galaxy tab s6 or surface go 2 to be at a reasonable price

The Pro also has 4GB of memory versus 3GB in the Air. The GPU is also better in the Pro, and the Pro also has ProMotion technology.

Went with the 2018 11” myself. Felt it was a big upgrade over the 10.5” pro but wasn’t missing out on the latest version. Also want all my devices to be USB c going forward, and figured the a12x should give me more longevity than the a10 in the old pro. Screen and speakers put the pro over the air for me. Once you go high refresh rate you really notice it going back.

Thanks! I also saw the Air has bluetooth 5, while the iPad 7th gen only has 4.2.

I feel like it's too small. Might grab the Air since consensus has it. Pro seems to be for people who need it as laptop for work replaceable.

Bought both the pro and the air last month.

The air performed better and was worth the extra 50$

Returned the pro
