Apple Watch 1 or 3

Hey RFD,

I just got an iPhone 8 Plus and now in the market for an Apple Watch. The Source has the Apple Watch 1 for $289 and I am really tempted to get it. Is it worth getting the 1 or should I just get the 3?

Thanks

3 is great because it's got a GPS for tracking workouts outdoors without a phone, better performance and battery life, and water resistance

Definitely worth the extra money if you will be wearing it a lot.

I have a Series 2 and it is already laggy with the latest WatchOS. Don't bother with the series 1 and get the 3. I love my iWatch but the lag drives my crazy sometimes.

For enhanced performance and added features, Apple watch 3 is the answer.

The series 3 is great. I got one unexpectedly at Xmas.

For a device I never looked twice at, I absolutely love it. I have a charging dock stand so I charge it nightly but if you turn it off when not wearing it (I.E when you go to bed) it will easily go at least 3-4 days between charges.

Series 3, if you do not need the wireless features without your phone, the series 2 refurb should suffice. 1 is a bit too slow performing for my tastes.

Thanks for the help. Picked up a 42mm Series 3 yesterday with GPS and cellular for $360. The kid got it for Christmas and he wanted the money more than the watch as he wa going to upgrade his phone. Anyways it came with the box and everything. Warranty is good till December 2018.

This deal was practically a steal!

He was asking $400 initially and got him to drop it to $360.

Watch is very clean. Came with a extra band. No signs of wear. Very happy with the purchase. Made sure he held it for me and he even walked 20 minutes from his house to meet me st night. Felt bad and gave him a ride back to his desired location after the transaction.
