Apple Watch 2 Replacement
I understand that apple will replace series 2 with a series 3 if there is a repair part that is unavailable. Anyone know what repair would warrant a replacement? Got a watch that is extremely slow.

You can try taking it in to an Apple store, but "slow" isn't likely to get you a replacement. Something would very clearly have to be defective, and even then, are you within the warranty period still? Also, have you tried updating it to the latest OS for your watch model? That's probably the first thing they'll do in store if it hasn't been done already. Easier to do it yourself first and potentially save yourself a trip in.
