I think it's just because camelx3 would get the referral link instead of RFD. There's no doubt that RFD corp is in it for profit. It's not a charity.

I don’t think RFD will like their competition being linked in their own forum. Topics like this are best asked in Reddit or twitter (or whatever social media platform you prefer) since you would both get unbiased and unfiltered opinion.

3Cs isn't even competition. There's a couple deals at the bottom, but I wouldn't really count that compared to RFD being a site dedicated to actual deals.

Camel is nice but it’s just Amazon products, which aren’t as competitively priced as they used to be.

Absolutely true. But it should survive or fail on its own merits rather than rely on censoring what they deem to be competitive sites like the three camels and that other deals site that's targeted to smart people
