Don't see the asialicious menu for most of the restaurants(maybe 30% of restaurants have special menu up) Go to chowbus and you can't find most of the restaurants that are participating? The deals don't seem that enticing too.Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

Some support from the city, which is pretty normal but no federal money being spent from the looks of it.

This might be a relaunch of the earlier one? Deals weren't fantastic b4. If you're going this probably works out to roughly 10% discount more or less.

So many places with menus in Chinese only. Pretty outrageous that the city is sponsoring this

Yes, just poorly done overall. COVID probably made it more complicated but clearly, not ready to launch yet ...

I somehow read this as "Assalicious" because I'm reading this on a TV and thought that millenials have a festival for everything.
Not that I"m not technically a millenial myself and also eat ass, but still... I don't have a festival for it.

Then I read it again properly.
Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

Well money well spent in terms of supporting the hospitality industry. Way better spent than endless bailouts of Alberta and a pipeline that's for sure!

You are right. I missed that. Only looked at the sponsors for the promotion not the carnival event.

Which pipeline is this? Energy East, the one that got cancelled?

Trudeau gave the finger to everything west of Ontario.
I want to see the throne speech coming up in September with his energy policy.

No, this is adifferent one that had a yearly event for the last two years but there wasn't much promotion so a lot of people didn't heard about it.

There is https://asialiciousto.com/ and there was https://asialiciousfest.com/ that was created super last minute.

Perusing it now...interesting find that there's a Scarborough Buffet on Markham Rd in the location of an old well known buffet - was it Mr. Wong's Buffet [IIRC ?? or something like that?]
