The M27Q was somewhere around $330-350 during blackfriday. The asus VG27WQ should be an ok deal if you can get it for below $400. That was the price range for the low/mid grade 27" IPS 1440p monitors 120mhz+ monitors during black friday/boxing day deals.

Edit: Good catch by @jamesyboy101 that the linked monitor is not IPS.. :)

this monitor isn't ips, it's VA. the ips model you want is the vg27aq. i'd probably get an ips over va unless it was the samsung. asus, dell, lg, gigabyte all make good ips get whatever one's on sale

Heads up that ASUS warranty support is basically non-existent if you have issues - I RMA'd a VG27AQ for having a failing control board, ASUS support sat on it for 3 weeks saying they were 'waiting for parts', and then when I called in to complain they sent a couple of photos of it broken (basically in half) and saying I sent in a dropped product and wanting almost double what I paid for it to repair.

Tried escalating with corporate and got the 'nothing we can do about it' line. So if you buy one take their 5 year warranty with a huge grain of salt.
