do u have the newest firmware installed? everything looks fine in the settings. u could try manually switching the channel its on and see if one of the other channels works better

Wifi speeds will be all over the map depending on your local environment. Only reliable/consistent connection is ethernet.

guess it depends what wifi band your using if u are using 2.4 or 5. 5 is the preferred band if the device supports it

I have a similar issue with the ac86u router, but it happens on wired too, started happening about a week or two ago after an update, i'm getting anywhere from 20-100mbps compared to almost 700 before. When using only the rogers router i get full speed.
Go here and give them some feedback http://router.asus.com/Advanced_Feedback.asp

Is QoS on or off?
if on, try testing with it off

I tried both, even restored defaults, nothing.

I have the exact same router. Try turning Dual-Band smart connect off and setup a different SSID for 2.4 and 5GHz bands. That way you know for sure what frequency band your devices are using when connecting to WiFi.

Well there's your problem.
Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

The connection is likely switching to 2.4Ghz and I'm assuming you're further away from the router when speeds are dropping.
