$25 anniversary credit is tempting. Their rate is higher than what I have now but $25 annually (~$2/mo) would offset more than the difference.

So they offered Google home, westjet credit $150, sobeys $100 GC before.

Still a month free (absolutely free including transmission charge) can be good to certain people who uses a lot. It would be worth about $70 in my case.

I'm with Epcor, would it make a difference monthly after I switch with them?

You'd have to call and see what rates you have with Epcor, ATCO's prices are in the link, but id recommend calling Epcor to see if they have any credits they can apply to your account due to this deal

Thanks OP. I received the $50 bill credit, and they also reduced my energy charge from $ 0.0599000/kWh to $ 0.0549000/kWh for the next 3 years. It's not huge savings, but it's better than nothing.

Higher on the one year, cheaper on the 3 year, but with the one month free it should average out on the 1 year

Enmax

Electricity rates
Fixed rates
5.89¢/kWh* 1-year Fixed
5.99¢/kWh* 3-year Fixed
6.59¢/kWh* 5-year Fixed
Capped floating rate
3-Year Floating Rate*
currently capped at 6.8¢/kWh‡

Natural Gas rates
Fixed rates
$3.79/GJ* 1-year Fixed
$4.89/GJ* 3-year Fixed
$4.89/GJ* 5-year Fixed
Floating rate
Floating Natural Gas Rate* + 99¢/GJ transaction fee

Anyone in Calgary moved to ATCO recently? Is there any catch? I see the 1 y. fixed is a bit more 5.99 vs Enmax 5.89, this would mean about 30-35 cents per month more for my usage, but the admin fee for ATCO is advertised $5 vs Enmax $7, so it's $2 savings right there. Plus the one free month would actually add up to something. Is that a good idea?
I tried to chat with Enmax and get some credit, but they refused, that's why I am actually considering to switch. I've never received any credit from Enmax, even in all the previous years when they were matching these ATCO promos.

I called in and said I was thinking of switching to Atco because they're offering the month of September free, and asked if they had any promos they could apply to my account, they checked and credited me $50, not sure if you have to be with them for a certain amount of time to get the credit or not.
Try calling?

Same here. Maybe calling is more successful?
