Then why post it in hot deals? I'm not that familiar with Makita's lineup but first glance tells me it's not a great deal. Is it even brushless? That's not listed in the specs and is usually a good barometer for whether it's a high or low end tool.

It is not brushless. The only good side is it comes with 3 batteries

It shows two in the description. Is it 2+1 or 1+1?

Looks like better drill driver. Makita one has very basic driver. How is the driver in HD kit?

Pretty good deal for the package with three 5ah batteries. The driver looks to be the weak link but the hammer drill seems pretty heavy duty. If you need Makita batteries, this is a good buy. The whole notion that tools NEED to be brushless is just stupid, for most DIYers, it’s not necessary if used only occasionally.

I'm not saying everyone needs a brushless tool, just that if they were brushless then they might be worth the price. Buy it if these tools were already on your list but otherwise I don't think it's a good enough deal to jump on.
