Milwaukee String Trimmer and Blower - $449

Deal Link:
Price:
449
Retailer:
Atlas
Hello,

I was in the market for a new Milwaukee string trimmer and came across this deal. The price of the 2825-21ST is 449 everywhere else but this combo comes with the free 2724-20 blower which is a $200 value. Good deal when you consider you get the rapid charger and 9.0 battery.

(1) M18 FUEL Power Head w/ QUIK-LOK
(1) M18 FUEL QUIK-LOK String Trimmer Attachment (49-16-2717)
(1) M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH DEMAND 9.0 Battery Pack (48-11-1890)
(1) M18 & M12 Rapid Charger (48-59-1808)
(1) M18 FUEL 120 MPH 450 CFM brushless cordless handheld blower (2724-20)

Actually this is an even better deal than the usual string trimmer as this one is the quik lock system which allows for different interchangeable heads to be used on the trimmer.

There a cheaper trimmer out there? This trimmer is more expensive then the used gas super recycler I bought.

There are lots of other options. I'm invested in the Milwaukee system and the battery and charger was the deciding factor for me

wow this set combo impresses me. battery life, interchangeable head and much powerful than the dewalt blower and trimmer combo V20 that I purchased..
Thinking of returning my dewalt set for this. any suggestions if this is an overkill?

Not sure what you paid on the Dewalt but the nice thing about Milwaukee is the resale value. Their stuff always sells as long as you take care of it and their warranty is pretty good.

I paid $299.99 plus tax for the combo 20V dewalt combo kit - 13" trimmer and blower. It takes me about 3 x 4.0AMP battery to get my yard done - trimmed and air blow

how is the battery life for the Milwakuee ?

What's the power difference between dewalt and milwaukee, and is the milwaukee's power equivalent to a gas powered trimmer.

I mean won't even the 20v dewalt trimmer be good enough for typical household trimming?

Dewalt trimmer has plenty of power, I would say about 70% of the 2 stroke I had. It never bogged down unless trimming 2 feet tall grass. Battery life is great too, 4ah is good for 20 min of hard use. Can't imagine any home owner need more power.

Do you use a grass edger for the sides? or the string trimmer on a slant and shave the curbs?

I have the older model of this Milwaukee trimmer and I shave with the string for edging the sidewalks and curbs.
