[Atmosphere] Mens Marmot Precip Rain Jacket ($49.97 - 10% newsletter sign up)

I was looking for light packable rain jackets and saw this excellent jacket on clearance.

It's a past season model, usually goes for $140 regular.

Fits true for me. Medium in this jacket, medium for most things. I can still wear multiple layers under without it being too tight.

This does look like a really good deal. No shipping to QC as usual but VU anyways.

Fixed-adjustable hood rolls easily into collar when not in use

For hot rainy summer days, is it better just to use an umbrella because this will be too hot? Mostly would be used for dog walks.

I would say umbrella is better. The material doesn't ventilate at all, so you can only open up the pit zip to let in a bit of air. Would not be comfortable in hot weather.

Yes definitely. You'll just get wet from sweating.

I bought this for backpack carryon travel. Works well as the outer layer in not overly harsh conditions. Can take me down pretty cold with layers but above 10 or 15 I'd probably pack an umbrella.
