Audi front bumper repair

So I did a thing. A very stupid and likely very costly thing.

I hit a rock, which wasn't actually a hard hit, but it caused so much damage that I'll be having to replace the front bumper of my 2018 SQ5.

Can anyone recommend an honest and fair repair shop preferably in York region (Markham-ish) or should I suck it up and take it to the dealer?

Since it is a wrapped vehicle, I will also need to get it rewrapped.

Does anyone know what the actual part is based on the photos attached? Wondering if I can source it from a scrap yard. I found a 2020 Sq5 front bumper assembly in perfect condition but it's in California.

I believe this is the parts for yours. Of course, once you factored in paint, labor, taxes, etc. You would be looking at high $2,000 range.
Thank you! There is also the piece underneath that attaches to it that needs to be replaced, too.

Re: bumper assembly located in California

If it’s a viable option you can have it shipped to CBI in Buffalo and have CrossBorder Express retrieve it and deliver it to you here. Between CBI and CrossBorder Express I’d say you’re looking at $150. Clearit.ca can handle the brokerage and customs charges (depending on value declared).

I believe the bumper can be repaired vs replacing it. The clips can be fixed and the point of impact can be pushed back out and smoothed out. I’m not sure about the wrap but it doesn’t look too bad. Best to go to a reputable body shop and get a quote.

If you do replace the bumper, don't bother repainting it since you'll be wrapping it. There's a good chance the vinyl will lift the aftermarket paint/clearcoat when you decide to remove it.

Paint it when/if you decide to remove the wrap.

Try not to think about replacement, but repairing. This thing happened to all of us, the auto body did give me an option (replace vs repair), but my car wasn't Audi and other party was paying for it.

Good time to remove that wrap anyway - matte black is overused and makes the SQ5 look cheap

Geeezus.... got the first quote in, BEFORE THE WRAP.... the estimate $4,407.00

Nope. Nope. Nope. Can't be. Talking about "hidden damage"..... it was a light tap.
