Auto Insurance Claim Reimbursement

Hello, needing suggestions on this one. Insurance claim date is June 25, 2021. I paid 270.79 (+ tax) for related damage repair on June 25, 2021. Assessment by insurance company conducted at automotive repair business on July 6 2021. Paid 500.00 deductible on July 7 2021. My question is this: Can I get reimbursement for the 279.90 + tax from the insurance company? The insurance company knew about my paying for some of the repairs when I made the claim. Paid because mechanic didn't realise the extent of the damages until after taking the vehicle out for a test drive. During that time I was called to the service counter and paid for the initial repair. Had to leave vehicle at garage and business owner suggested I contact my insurance provider to see if they will cover the cost of repairs. This occurred on June 25, the day I towed the vehicle to the garage. Thanks.

Btw the issue was rodent damage under the hood.

what did your adjuster say... I would assume they paid 100% of the claim minus the deductible; so realistically, anything you paid out of pocket should be reimbursed.

Received this standard email reply from the claims analyst "Your deductible is $500.00. The repair shop will collect it from you when you pick up your vehicle. We will cover the rest of your vehicle repair." This email arrived July 7, 2021. On July 15 got an additional email that the claim was closed and the following information, "I am pleased to inform you that everything regarding the vehicle portion of your claim has been taken care of." This is my first auto claim (ever) so I go to my on line account for the insurance provider and there is no itemization of what is paid. Realise that the auto repair invoice from July 7 was sent to the insurance company and I do have a copy of that (the invoice from June 25 was not sent, although I told insurance co. that I can provide a copy). Btw, all of the emails sent to me are no-reply types. The phone number used to call me was private status too. I will reach out again to the claims analyst using the private phone number in my phone's history. In short the analyst has made it very challenging to communicate with them so it is difficult to know what is what. Thank you for your help.

LOL insurance companies are indeed very difficult to talk to over the phone. Had a broker on the verge of tears trying to explain how he even as a broker for Economical could NEVER get an answer over the phone. When we were trying to get a refund for my fathers estate. I would sit there and watch while they put him on hold, then hang up before the party that could supposedly help was reached. This happened multiple times. I guess being a 40 yr veteran with the biggest brokership in a small town is not that important to a mega corp like Economical....

Yes submit the receipt for the other repairs (via email the insurance company website or app) and they will review it and if it’s related to the claim they will reimburse you.

@Toolatecrew , that is exactly what happened. Customer service provided me with the claims analyst's email. I wrote a preamble, attached a scan of the invoice, and sent off the email. Within forty-eight hours, the claims analyst left me a phone message. Missed calls back and forth and then we connected and had a five minute conversation. The insurance company repaid me my previous expense a couple days later. End of the story.

Thank you and thanks to everyone else who replied to my post. Much appreciated...
