Avion or Aeroplan for Tuition

Hi,

I have both a RBC Visa Infinite Avion and a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite.

I have to pay for law school at approximately $44,000 in total over the next two years.

What credit card do you recommend I use? I have 220, 397 Aeroplan miles and will likely only fly from British Columbia to Ontario or Quebec.

Cheers!

Both have merchandise and event tickets and hotels and things other than flight rewards.

If they take Amex then I would get one of the Platinum cards, the huge point bonuses you get for signing up thru referral and hitting the stated spend amount is well worth the annual fee

From there you can transfer points to quite a few places such as Aeroplan, or use them thru the Amex site

If they take AMEX
you sign up MANY AMEX to pay them
$44K can net you many many points (e.g. see my signature CC thread)

At least you still have the option to pay tuition by credit card. :-)

I would say the TD Aeroplan especially if you fly between BC and QC. For 25k points you can fly between the two (return) or 12.5k one way and you also get the first checked bag for free when traveling on a reward ticket.
