Avoiding car insurance costs in ontario
If I register the car with insurance and get the license plates and sticker, print off the pink slip and put it in my car, and finally switch my insurance to fire and theft and tell my insurance company I won’t be driving… Lets say the cops run my plate randomly. Will it come back as “insured” or will the system have updated to read my license as “only insured for fire and theft”? Scenario 2: say I get pulled over for something trivial and the cop asked for license and insurance and I give them the original pink slip that has since been cancelled, is there any way for the cop to confirm my insurance has been cancelled and the pink slip is no longer valid? Please don’t comment unless you are answering my questions! TIA
