That is not the reason why it’s called mirrorless...

Pretty good deal IMO. Great for someone looking to just get into photography.

The 55 - 200 lens alone sells for $470 + tax most places here (though I found it for $370 + tax at Maple Leaf Photo which seems like a good price).

The fact that you also get an SD card and camera bag makes this deal even better.

It's in the build bundle just below the price and also listed in the Recommended Accessories on the same page.

Tip: Use a credit card with no foreign transaction fee (~2.5%), like Capital One Costco MC or others.
Costco Mastercard has a forex fee... doesn't it?

wow... this was a hot deal and this makes it even hotter!

if anyone is looking to get into photography, you should really consider this deal.

you might be able to sell the 55 - 200 lens for around $400 on kijiji which would mean that you would get the camera body, the 15-45 lens, the adapter, an sd card, and a camera bag for around $200. That's a hot deal folks.

You're right, Capital One only wavies forex fee in the U.S but it doesn't apply in Canada. I've corrected it.

I recently purchased a Canon M10 kit with thr 15-45mm lense for $270 brand new at the Source.... how would it compare to this M100? I can't decide if I should keep it or return it. I just need something decent to shoot family gatherings, vacations, and landscape... What would the photography experts here recommend?

You're better off doing your own research on camera equipment.

I think that @brava27's advice is spot on as most suggestions you will get are highly subjective and only you know your budget, expectations and photography skills. Looking at the M10, the specs look decent for what you want to use it for (esp. the APS-C size sensor which should give you a reasonable low-light performance).
If you want to read up and drown in reviews, usually DXOMark is a good starting spot.
But overall the saying is true that "The best camera is the one in your hand" and photography skills still matter a lot more than camera specifications.
Saying this, BH Photo has a great channel on Youtube that offers a wide range of great talks on how to improve photography skills.
Personally, I regret that for years (and we talk more than a decade ago!) I jumped from one budget offer (and camera brand) to another instead of purchasing a DSLR and investing in good glass/lenses. But that was before mobile phone cameras became as sophisticated as they are today ...

I saw a guy compare a similar camera to current high end smartphones and guess what won?
