I love the Note line from Samsung, but >$1000?
I'm currently using a $260 Xiaomi Note 5 phone and it doesn't seem to be that much of a downgrade (coming from previous Samsung Note models).

Also when buying a US phone your Samsung Pay won't work in Canada from what I've heard. Either that or you just don't get the offers like $10 tim's cards after 5 taps.

512GB damn...more than my PC (500GB), laptop (256GB), and work laptop (128GB) lol...minus Plex server of course.

Question to RFD datahoarders - with everything being streamed and photos/video stored in cloud, what are you filling up these phones with?
porn of course lol

If that price was in CAD, this would have been a great deal

And not sure if this phone will work with all Telus/Bell frequencies. Frequency check shows 87% compatibility

If you're paying $1000 CAD it's hard to accept a CPU 40% to 50% slower than flagship in 2019.

Decent deal if you're keen on a Note though.

What's the expected usable lifetime of this phone (with security updates)? Another 2-3 years from now? And then around $100-$200 trade-in value at the time? If so, we're talking about $1 per day ownership fee?

Yeah, really comes down to whether it's a preference on the latest SOC, or a sale. Galaxy Note and Galaxy S releases are typically 6 months apart, right?
