NFC works. I cannot see the NFC icon in the status bar when enabled for some reason but I tested the Presto app and I can read the card balance via NFC using the app. Hope this helps.CorporalJenky wrote: ↑ For anyone that got the S10 Lite or Note 10 Lite from this deal and are using it in Canada, can you check if your NFC is working?

I really hate this Lite garbage... Samsung diluting their flagship line with this lite stuff...Isildur101 wrote: ↑ S10 lite has the snapdragon 855 processor .... last years flagship model. The note 10 lite has a less-capable exynos processor (9810 I think?). The headphone jack and s-pen are compelling arguments for it, however
Apple doesn't make an iPhone Lite or something... Ugh

apple makes SE and the lower-end iphone 11 and iphone xr are actually lite versions due to lots of compromises.
Again, "diluting the flagship line" is probably samsung's purpose. As the flagship phones are more and more expensive and probably less people can afford them nowadays. In order to keep the sales number looks good, samsung added some mid-tier model to their flagship line (s10 lite is actually a91), so it can reported as total sales of s10 series reached xxxx...
Huawei does this too, for example, P40 lite is nova 6se, and P30 lite is nova4e. Probably the sales of geniun P series (with around $1000 price tag) is minimal in the market outside China, but adding lite versions makes the sales look better, slightly...

Alright thanks. I ask this cuz Samsung has locked out NFC and Samsung Pay from being used on phones bought outside it's region. That means if you're in North America and you use an international model (w/ Canadian sim) then the NFC can't be used for Google Play for example.

Not entirely true. NFC does work, as does google pay. Samsung pay does not because it is region locked.CorporalJenky wrote: ↑ Alright thanks. When I was shopping around for a Samsung A50 & A70 I found out folks that used a an international variant in North America had their NFC disabled.Isildur101 wrote: ↑ Not entirely true. NFC does work, as does google pay. Samsung pay does not because it is region locked.

I suspect that is due to the fact that the Hong Kong variant is actually a Snapdragon variant (like in North America and Japan) and not considered the "Rest of World/International" Exynos variant.Isildur101 wrote: ↑ Interesting. My note 10 plus is a Hong Kong region phone and nfc works just fine

Wish the LG G8X deal from costco was dual sim. Should I get this one instead or wait for new SD 765G midrange phones? Oneplus nord is nice but no can't buy, pixel 4a delayed forever.

Looks like it's restocked but at limited supply.
For those that took the deal, what was the final cost (ie: how much USD, conversion, taxes, etc) in CAD that you paid?

Other than the 3.5mm headphone jack and S pen, what is major difference between Note 10 lite and S10 lite? Which one has the better camera?

The cameras are completely different and most think S10 Lite is better. However Note 10 Lite does have telephoto lens vs macro on the S10 Lite, telephoto likely more useful.
