most of these require the 3.3v pin fix. super easy i just actually just tape over the 3 pins with conventional tape

WD 8 tb external can be had for 190CAD on eBay.ca, minus having to deal w/ cross-border headaches, but maybe the drive inside not as good? Also I guess if you rather 10tb vs 8tb

Man with 10TBs on the market for cheap now, I am thinking of ditching all my 5 My Books (total of like 8GB) and consolidating into this. What do you guys think? Should I be worried of a big hard disk failure ?

Gotta keep backups!

If you have 8 TB of externals plus 1-2TB in your computer I would buy this to backup everything you have.
