Babymoon suggestions please

Hi guys,

Update: Me and my husband are planning a babymoon in Jan. we’re located in Toronto and would loveee to go somewhere 3-4 hours away to a nice warm beachy resort. Considering Bahamas (as it’s Zika free).

Our budget is CAD1500-1700 for 7 nights for all inclusive resorts including flights.
Would love to hear your suggestions.

Florida is not safe for zika neither, so does Bermuda.
Hawaii is zika safe but not within OP's budget.

I usually find it doesn't make sense to use points for the flight. The package including the flight won't be substantially more than booking hotel only. $1000 seems very low. You could look at Vegas. Not as warm and beachy but also a good last chance without kids place.

As others said finding out the latest on Zika important.

No it's just what it's called. Words have meanings and this means a trip when pregnant. Usually between 3 and 7 months when you no longer should fly.

We opted against this and did a "staycation". Spent a few nights at a nice hotel in Downtown Vancouver. Although the thought of a nice warm destination as a couple before the baby arrives is tempting, we felt it's better to remain close to home (and your doctor).

Be sure to check your travel insurance too - coverage may cease after the pregnancy reaches a certain stage.

I am very fond of cruises and you could do a 7-10 day cruise within your budget if you avoid New Years week. You could sail out of Baltimore/NY if you have Florida Zika concerns.

We just came back from DR - Ocean El Faro, amazing place to baby moon it up. Cost was $1050 pp. Might be $1200 ish in Jan. We booked it 4-5d before travel. Not sure if they are Zika free too.

What’s with all the troll responses? If you don’t know what a babymoon is, or don’t want kids yourself, why bother replying? The OP is asking a specific question. You can quite easily do a Google search for the word ‘babymoon’. Obviously the OP doesn’t think that having a child is a life ruining event. Derrrrrrp.
