Just came across this on Slickdeals and realized it applies to Canada as well.

Great game for a great price. I've been waiting for it to go on sale. Just keep in mind that it is optimized for tablets and doesn't play well on screens below 7".

$3.99 on app store:
iOS link.

Planning to play this on the subway. I have a feeling I'll be hoping for passenger assistance alarms for once...!

Can anyone comment on the in-app purchases (In-app Products $1.99 - $2.99 per item)? Are there pay-to-continue paywalls?

From a quick look at the menu, there are 4 optional purchases: 2 characters (Dorn Il-Khan & Neera the Wild Mage), plus a character portrait pack and a character voice pack.

Thanks for posting, OP. I have to hold myself back from buying it since I still have Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Tactics on mobile I have yet to really play.

Still such a great old game and decent remaster from what I hear.

I can't imagine playing a game that requires such a commitment on a mobile device. Do people actually do that.
That's 30 minutes away, I'll be there in 10.

Absolutely! I just love the ability to play anywhere, anytime something that isn't Candy Crush and doesn't require any complicated hardware.

Obviously, games will always be better on consoles or PC, but I think it's amazing to see these kinds of games take portable gaming to the limit. Bard's Tale is another tablet game I spent quite a few hours on.

Yeah, it also boggles my mind that anyone could play something like Baldur's Gate on a phone, but a tablet might be alright. Still a classic regardless.

Believe it or not, but I got an old .IPA ipad version of Baldur's Gate and I was able to play it on my iPad 1. Yes, that iPad 1 1024x768 with 256 mb ram on iOS 5.1.1,

Realistically, how does a phone screen handle this? I know that it's 'tablet recommended', but can I get away with it on my phone, or am I just asking for a miserable time?

Wanna know this as well. I could buy regardless to play later in a future tablet that I would own but who am I fooling here? Android tablets are dead :(

If they brought Fallout 1 and 2 to phones, I think people wouldn’t be doing much work for a few weeks.

I find it playable on my OnePlus 5+, if you have a large-screen phone with reasonable resolution it should be ok.
