Only applies to sales items...which kinda sucks....as there's not much in my size....would have jumped on it if it applied to reg. priced items.

They have those quite often. It's only a matter of time...

Thanks OP. I don't think I've ever bought anything full price from BR!

On some goods, for example, Polos, the price already has been initially reduced. E.g. Banana Republic website says: Luxury-Touch Stripe Polo, CA $ 62.00, Now CA $ 40.00. (https://bananarepublic.gapcanada.ca/bro ... k=12147468). Does 50% discount already included in this case? I have reached till 'checkout', but the discount hasn't been applied automatically.

BR seems to be permanently 40 - 50% on sale.... There should be some consumer regulation in Canada that prohibits these practices...

Some stuff was decent to be honest. This is their best sale imho. compared to their normal sales. In the past I purchased a really nice peacoat for around $220 with multiple discounts (ended up returning since size didn't fit) but around 1.5 months later I found the exact same peacoat on the extra 50 sale for $120.

I don't shop at BR that often, but the prices look ridiculously high for a 40-50% off sale.

No. Sale items, which this promo applies to, have prices ending in .99

Those are discounts off regular price. The OP posted deal is extra 50% off the sale price, so total ~60-80% off MSRP.

It's an additional 50% off the state price (final price is once you add the items to cart).

It's the extra 50% off that's decent. Not saying it's necessarily worth it but for BR clothing (generally pretty nice) I think these sales are the best. The jacket I bought is real suede and I've been looking around for one but they're quite expensive. I bought this BR one for $165 which I think is solid.

Definitely inflated “sale” prices on most of that stuff such that the 50% off ends up only being a slight saving if anything. Most of the shirts seem to have a “sale” price of over $70 which is nuts for this quality to begin with.

Actually, most of sales items are 30-40% off. It is rare to have 50% off.
