The website defaults to Canadian when you go there from a Canadian IP address. Why are you listing the prices in USD?

The sites usually price the product in USD, and then show you the price that you will pay in the local currency based on current (?) exchange rates. If OP had posted the current CAD price, the RFD police would be all over him/her when the price changed in a day or two due to currency fluctuations.

How well does it work in terms of , android market, applications, heating up, English support.
Can it be used out of the box, or does it need a custom ROM?

Too bad this doesn't have a global ROM. Only a chinese ROM. Many apps will be in chinese.

Got one Redmi 4 prime in my hand. It's in miui global rom. Not much support in xda forum right now, but I'll manage with miui meanwhile. Btw, there's no 1700 lte band, only partial 2100 band. It's overall well made.

How do you get this phone to sync your google email contacts? Its not working for me. First it was a pain in the ass to figure out how to install google play store, but now none of my previous numbers and chats were migrated over to the phone.

The official global rom for this phone was out recently. I am still waiting for my Redmi 4 Prime which I ordered from Aliexpress back in early December last year.

The image in your post is a Note 4 (5.5"), not the Redmi 4 (5.0") - got super excited for a sec!
