Price is good, but phone doesn't support 802.11ac if anyone cares about that.

Deal seems decent enough but upvote for the name of the site, has always hit a soft spot.
Public Mobile $23 plan, $10 credits ongoing

Umidigi is garbage but this is a 4xx Qualcomm chip.

Basic usage only.

Can anyone clarify, is this same as Redmi Note 8 or a different phone?

Ok nevermind it is NOT the Redmi Note 8, but rather an inferior device

Would they send an AC charger that works here in Canada or do they send an EU charger?

Where is rural? I have the note 6 and am on Telus as well. I have been as far north as Port Perry, and as far south as Grimsby/fort Erie with no servicing issues

Caledon is fine as well.

Rural for me would mean anywhere outside of cities, countryside. From your experience it sounds like there are no issues. Thank you

I hadn't had good experience with reception with Xiaomi devices in the past... Has band support gotten better since the 5 series? Would work fine outside, but the moment I entered any building... Terrible

I have since moved to Umidigi (F2 Play) and reception is night and day difference

Thanks

Sad to see that they're still using a modem with limited band support.

That's the biggest downside of those phone
