FNV is just a financial firm. Gold miners, well, are gold miners.

Add SLW to your list as well. They're not bad business models, but I wouldn't make the mistake of directly comparing them to actual miners with production.

I think SLW is a cheap silver play compared to buying ETFs, buying $38 dec calls as seasonality shows it typically rallies into Dec as well with the fiscal cliff and more money printing, SLW should do quite well.

EOY target is closer to $50 for me, but I like day trading as well to make money while I wait.

It was $40 5 years ago. I'm looking at $60-$70 by year end. Current pricing is basically giving the company away.

Their stock price should go up pass $40 once (or if) they sort through all the issues with their Pascua-Lama mine project. It's costing them a lot of $$$ to build that mine.

All the new capacity in the industry is having similar over-runs. So Barrick may very well look very swell bringing on this new capacity before the gold price really goes up a lot more and capacity becomes even more expensive to deliver in the future.

I'm seriously considering taking a position in this.

Why do you think it has a chance to hit $60-70 by year end Mark77?

Because it was a similar price to today, with gold at half the price? Once the analysts start using >$1200 gold in their spreadsheets, the upgrades should come.

Retail buyers aren't even being pushed this stock by their brokers yet.
