Herters 22LR HV 500 round pack ammo $24.99 in-store

Price:
24.99
Retailer:
BassPro Canada
Was shopping in-store at BassPro Tsawwassen Mills (BC) and found this bulk stuff:

500 rounds bulk pack box
36GR
Copper Plated HP

$24.99 / 500 = less than 5c per bullet which is the cheapest I've seen for HV bulk ammo in awhile.

The bullets were not super high quality round nose, but should be great for plinking and letting your friends chew up something other than your CCI mini mags =)

Oh and HV = guy at the store said 1280 FPS. Should cycle in a semi. google reviews suggest this is Cabela's house brand, made by Winchester in the USA. in fact it looks identical to the Winchester SuperX that I have.

Does anyone know how long it’s taking the RCMP to process PALs and Restricted permits?

FYI, Federal .223 is also on sale - $369.99 or so per case. Best deal I've ever seen (not including occasional sale+MIR double dips)

If you haven’t heard anything after 60days or so, follow up. Mine was 3mos for a renewal but was sitting on some drones desk while he waited for Lord knows what. Came about 10 days after I called.
What the H E double hockey sticks have I done now?

It is a lot faster now. About a month's wait. All permits apparently are printed in New Brunswich, and there are two machines that prints produced about 800 IDs each day, and for a while, both machines were broken and they had to use an older machine printing 200 a day. I heard they are back to normal now. I got a new ATT and they send me a new license within 2 weeks (beginning of February)
