I ended up going the weekend after I posted. I had thought there would be more shoes to be honest lol... The museum looks much bigger on the outside.

Probably depends on what exhibit is on at the moment. If there's a visiting exhibit, then the museum's own inventory of shoes will be less seen.

I'll have more Spring in my step if I win shopping sprees!😄
