So long hours and not liking Vancouver seemed to be big issues for Ruby. It's not the first time hearing about a CW show with long hours.

'She wasn’t happy working on the show, and did that make her fun to work with? No. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It just wasn’t a good fit.'

A key factor in her decision to leave was the long hours she had to work as the star of Batwoman.

Prior to the series, Rose had mostly played smaller supporting roles in films and television requiring more modest time commitments.

She also wasn't a fan of living in Vancouver, where the series is filmed.

I think if you're the Lead character on a TV show you work long hours. They get a week to flim an episode, so the days are long. If your a lead you're needed in the most scenes. I don't think that's unique to the CW.

On the flip side if they spend a week filming each episode, then you're only filming for 22 weeks a year. You've probably got a few other weeks of press and what not. Plus you would have to keep up a workout routine in the offseason, but still that's half a year with a gruelling schedule, then half the year doing something else. That's not horrible?

Did you ever see the documentary "The Captains" with Shatner. In the interview with bakula a total veteran of long running series. He asks the toll a television series had took on his relationships. I think shatner mentions it cost him a marriage because the hours were too long for too long.Oh and Avery Brooks is out there!

I don't know why they need to make a entire new character. Batman mythology has lots of suitable "heirs". Huntress or Barbara Gordon. Just because they're not lesbian
in canon doesn't mean they can't be in the show. They've already introduced a lesbian daughter for Alfred.
