Apologies - I haven't read through everything. Is this standard SATA SSD or M2?

I'm pretty interested as this is the same resolution as a Macbook Pro Retina.

M2, as shown here (from the unit I got) and here.

Hey guys i'm on the fence between this and the t450s with 12gb ram and 256ssd that Bauer is also selling. What would you recommend x1 or t450s. Appreciate all the help.
Depends on the screen of the T450s. Since they don't say what it is, I would *assume* it's the crappy TN variety, in which case, it's the X1 Carbon for me, but you know what they say about assuming :) .

In general, though, since I don't carry my notebook around everywhere 24/7, I would probably opt for the T450s, due to it having more ports and stuff.

Yes, the X1 Carbon (regardless of generation) is a fantastic piece of hardware.

I received mine today.

Laptop physical condition: 7/10 - scratches on top case and bottom case, sides have 4 chips where color is off and white plastic shows underneath.

Keyboard, screen is in perfect condition I would say 10/10

Battery wear is : 17%

SSD health is excellent.

Conclusion : I would not recommend considering physical condition (It could be only mine unit has issues) has too many noticeable scratches. Previous user might have gave it to kid to draw on case with sharp opbjects :)

I will talk to their support to see what can be done.

Good luck!!

I am not sure, when I placed order I asked for quality, answer was A grade quality. But casing of laptop doesn’t look like A grade. Here are some pictures.

Ouch that's worrying, looks like it's been dropped.

Let us know if they offer any kind of solution, thinking of getting one myself.

Doesn't look too concerning, maybe A- quality. Sometimes people expect the world from refurbs, it's clear the unit was dropped a few times.

Well, I am not expecting world out of refurbished product, but there is nothing wrong in sharing my views and I don’t see any issues if they send pictures of unit along with invoice. It makes more transparent.

This is like a lottery luck, you can get excellent/good/scratched units :)

I unfortunately don't know much about laptops. Would this one be good for photo editing in Lightroom? I'm looking for something portable to do my editing when I don't want to be tethered to my desktop.
