As long as the part numbers match (which they do online) and the PM goes through, the party continues!

Really? That sucks as I wanted a slower 'green' drive for my RAID setup and can do without the heat and noise of a 7200rpm drive. Well at least you guys have one less person fighting for stock. :)

You're mad... 7200RPM drives are way better than crappy green ones.

If I was looking for high transfer speeds sure but I have a RAID server that runs 24/7 and would rather have a slower Green drive for less heat, noise, and power consumption.

I bought one at BB and there're 23 left. I'm going to PM later this morning.

Thanks, OP.

does anyone know which version is better? The one at staples or the one at BB/FS? Thanks!

Also, if anyone needs coupons for $15 off $100 at staples.

Can you use the coupon code in store,? Would love to price match at Staples, but will the accept to code only? Or do you require a coupon

Do you call Staples to do a PM then apply the coupon after?

I used the coupon instore (eventho it explicitly says online/phone only). So i got it for PM, minus 15 dollars, and 10 dollar sears giftcard.
Just ask for manager tho. The sales clerks will read coupon and say no, but manager said to try the code. So in theory, you only need code.

Bought 6 of them right before the flood, never did manage to snag 2 more.

yep...making this a pretty hot deal.

Would buy if I didn't just get a 2TB...and warranty gets voided if you open it right?

PM'd at Best Buy via e-mail. Thanks OP.

Only had a $10 off Staples coupon that expired at the end of July, otherwise would have gone that route.

Well, pre-flood prices as per GB was around 3.5 cents/GB ($70/2000GB)

RIGHT NOW, we're @ 4 cents/GB ($120/3000GB)

Not quite there yet... :D $100 for 3TB would get us there. ;)
What's the best credit card for...
